A good samaritan reached out when Dakota showed up with a snap trap caught on his paw.

His poor foot was completely mangled, so his leg needed to be amputated. We had so much hope for Dakota, so we were devastated to learn that he didn’t make it through the amputation surgery.

It seems so unfair that this poor puppy endured such an awful life on the streets and was finally getting his chance. We tried to find some comfort that he didn’t die alone on the streets.

We wonder how many people passed by him while he was on the streets before he found his way to Good Samaritans Lisa and Isaac who immediately gave him food, water, and a safe yard until we could get there.

Dakota, we love you dearly and are so sorry this didn’t work out the way we were hoping for. You’re forever in our hearts, and we’ll take wonderful care of your mom and sisters. ❤️
